Elastothane Coatings For Boats
With coatings specifically formulated for marine use, our polyurea, polyurethane and hybrid coatings will protect and endure, even with permanent immersion in salt water. Commonly used to protect boat hulls, decks, holds, barges, narrow boats, and trailers, our coatings are versatile and long lasting.
Working with pontoon manufacturers around the EU, we have ensured EPS cores remain water tight and buoyant prior to concrete encapsulation. Pontoon boat decks similar craft have also benefited where high foot traffic areas needed greater protection than gel coat alone.
Traditionally coated in Bitumen, the base plate of a narrow boat needs re-coating every 2-3 years, making it a costly exercise requiring a crane, dry dock, coatings and labour. Polyurea has proven to be the best long terms solution, with only one coat needed with an indefinite life span.
Like many pieces of equipment, commercial vessels are worked hard in relentless conditions, making it difficult for most coatings to perform. Polyurea is now a "go to" solution for many bat owners due to its extreme physical properties, with fenders and who hulls being coated to protect against impact and abrasion. Our coatings are regularly applied to pilot craft, fishing boats, tenders and ferries.
We are often asked if we can apply our coatings for customers, however we feel that this would be directly in competition with our customers, and therefore don't offer that service. We have many independent applicators that are highly experienced and can offer in-house or on-site spraying of polyurea. To find out more, please call us and we can match you to an applicator that will be able to help.
