Elastothane foam and polystyrene coatings offer unrivalled protection against impact, abrasion, weather, freeze and thaw, as well as speeding up the production of parts compared to GRP and other traditional methods of hard coating foam. Our range includes pure polyureas, hybrids and polyurethanes, all of which provide different types of protection to foams ranging from upholstery foam and memory foam, to EPS and expanding PU foam.
Our Products

Polyurea
Polyurea is used on all manner of themed items, specifically for its ability to resist impact, abrasion and wide ranging weather conditions. Polyurea has a high elongation (stretch) which allows it to act as a shock absorber, as well as expanding and contracting with high and low (freezing) temperatures.

Polyurethane
Polyurethane has many of the qualities of polyurea, however it offers a harder and less flexible shell due to its density, making it easier to sand and drill when finishing projects off. Longer gel times can be achieved with polyurethanes, allowing the product to "wet out" and create a glossy coat.

Fire Retardancy
Externally tested by Exova UK, all of our fire retardant coating and linings are tested and certified class 1 to BS476 part 7. We use liquid fire retardant additives to ensure easy mixing and application of our products.
Finishing
All products, whether they are polyurea, polyurethane or a hybrid can be painted with most paints. Please follow the paint manufacturers guidelines for application, using primers where recommended. Our products can be sanded, drilled and bonded for further fixing or finishing. 2K polyurethane paints are ideal, as they form a chemical bond to the polyurea when applied soon after the coating has been sprayed, as well as having robust flexible qualities that move with the PU.

Need an applicator?
We are often asked if we can apply our coatings for customers, however we feel that this would be directly in competition with our customers, and therefore don't offer that service. We have many independent applicators that are highly experienced and can offer in-house or on-site spraying of polyurea. To find out more, please call us and we can match you to an applicator that will be able to help.
